Hello everyone :) Hope you all had a very good new start for the year. We have been away for most of November/December and I am trying to get my mojo back and to do what I love most- crafting. I am starting to catch up with my DT commitments and here is the first one. It`s all about LOVE as you know ;)

Tag Your It!

Hello everyone!
Hope you are having a wonderful weekend:)
I`m trying to schedule this post to be published when we are out tomorrow.
As you all know DD has a swimming lesson in the morning (She passed her stage 2 ducklings and will be starting a stage 3! whoop whoop! She swims so well now I am actually amazed how a 4yld dives to get her diving sticks and swims on her front and back with no fear! lol I`m really proud of her! When we met the Israeli Olympic tem she said she wanted to be an Olympic swimer, I think I can say that she might have a point there! lol).

I am hosting the new challenge on PAM over at the `Outlawz` this week and, I choose `Tag Your It`. Making tags is such a fun thing to do, there are no rules you just flow with your materials!
So this week, I am not at work, my craft room is really really tidy! (And that, my friends, is really really unusual! lol) So I took my time and made a new paper bag mini album with lots and lots of tags!

This week was also the week Gilad Shalit was freed from captivity in the Gaza strip by Hamas. He had been there for long 5 and a half years and to see him free was very emotional for me and for my country. His family had fought for his release every single day and it was just amazing to be able to see it happening!

I used mariposa papers, because they had the birds and butterflies as a theme and all I had in my head was `Freedom` and that what comes to my mind thinking of being free :)

I have to worn you it is a photo heavy post...

Halloween at the `Outlawz`

Hello Everyone!
Hope you are having a fantastic Saturday! I scheduled this post to go while we are at DD swimming lesson, fingers crossed that the new editor is doing as it is told! lol

So this week over at PAM Challenge, - Halloween party favours or decorations`
Surprisingly, I found some spare time today and made a new card. While I was making it, I had intended to give it to my DH as his birthday is on Halloween. However he was in, and when he saw the card, he asked who was it for! lol so I will be making him a new one next week (Providing I will find time of course).

I used my Tilda bat stamp and really enjoyed colouring it with my pro markers.Oh and I used my spider web embossing folder and run over it with a staz on ink pad. with the left over purple card stock I had made the tag that is tucked inside the black doily.

I need to find a tutorial on how to make a box for this card as it a bit heavy and won`t fit in a standard envelope.

School Daze!

Hello everyone :)

It`s Saturday and it is my turn to host the challenge over at the `Outlawz` `Paper A la Mode` design team!

For this week I choose a theme close to my heart- `School Daze` . My little princes had started school on Monday and a second before she is off to get all grown up (at 4! lol) We took some photos of her wearing her new school uniform.

I used a swirlydoos sketch that I had for a few years now as for some reason my Muze had decided to take a break! lol

I am really pleased with the lay out and it is the first time it is not a canvas but a page in a new Album that I am making for my DD.

By The Cute And Girly Can`t believe it`s September!

And it is! lol Another month`s is over and it won`t be long until Xmas is here! {OMG!}

And just like every beginning of a month, I`m here with BTC&G Challenge! and this months is All things Bright and Beautiful

It was our 11th anniversary and I made my DH a mini, mini album with photos of all of us from last spring. DD was my sweet little helper and we also made a card and a box to hold it all in.

Hello there :)

I will be hosting the scrapbook outlawz challenge every second week of the month.
And today it it my turn to host!
This week the theme is `Anything But A Card`, and I love it!

I made another canvas clock, a round one this time, and it is for a privet auction swap on a fantastic FB group I joined recently.

The sweetest crafter I am swapping with had emailed me a few photos to choose from, and the second I saw her sweet beautiful girls with this stunning dresses, I knew this would be so much fun to make. The photos were such a fantastic inspiration.

All girly glittery theme :)

I haven't joined swap in a really long time. after a project I sent had got lost in the post and after all the carry on afterwards I did not want to go threw that again.

But I did have much fun and I will share the project Elle had made us shortly as well <3

OK enough with that.

So I am swapping again but only with UK based crafters.
Really enjoyed making this clock and I am very happy Elle likes it as well :)

By The Cute And Girly August is here!

Hello everyone! I hope you all are enjoying the Summer :) Seems that everything is moving faster and soon it will time to get the list from the kiddies lol

But as long as it`s here I am making the most of it {Mostly swimming with Miss Mylee lol

The theme for August is `The Sea` I love the sea! My home town is by the sea and that was where we spent most of our free time at And the school skipping as well lol}

For this month I have two Canvasses.

The first one is a commissioned I was asked to make for a customer who was giving it as a christening present :) The baby is so cute so it was fun to put it all together. I wrapped it with some brown paper and raffia ribbon. Then I thought that something was missing from it so I sat down and made a cute tag. Miss Mylee was there to help me and she also made her own card as you can see for yourself, right next to the tag :)

The second canvas has a picture of me my dad and Miss Mylee when she was only 3 month old. I spent a whole month in Israel with her then and I really miss ma baby girl : ( She is such a big girl now lol

My DT teamies have created some wonderful and beautiful projects! you can find all the detail here !

We Are Not Alone! :)

Hello everyone! Hope you are all are having a nice and sunny weekend :)

I have an Outlawz challenge to share with you today and the theme for this week is "Deck It Out To The Nines". Use at least three embellishments. Three flowers, three pearls, three bling, etc.

My project for this week has a story behind it, I`ll share the story with you first.

A few weeks ago I found out that the Israeli Olympic team are here in our small town`s Olympic pool training for a few weeks. So we made a sign and went to see them at the pool along with two of my friends from work and my little princes.

When the team saw the sign which was in Hebrew, one of them came up to talk to us and gave the kids small pins from the Israeli swimming union. It was very emotional for me. We are the only Israelis in town and it felt nice to be the only ones for a little while! lol

I took a picture of Miss Mylee holding the sign with a silly face that I find adorable saying `Cheese` and I emailed it with a thank you note to the Swimming union organisation in Israel.

It didn`t take long to get a reply from them and they also published my letter with Mylee`s photo on their website!

I had a wooden `Star Of David` which I got from my fathers partner`s the last time we were in Israel which fitted perfectly to my project, as it is so symbolic to me... and created a layout with the photo I took :)

I have made three flowers, one from lace, one from crepe paper and one from ribbon .

So I was looking at it and thought...something is missing! lol I stayed loyal to the rule and if you count them you will find 9 embellishments on the project. I am much happier with it now and Mylee asked her daddy to put a nail on the wall in her bedroom as she wants it to be hanged there :)

The Outlawz Does Minies!

Hello everyone!

This week in the outlawz scrapbook challenge we are minimizing our layouts :) That is the Challenge for this week!

It can be a mini-book, a mini layout (8x8 or smaller), a set of mini cards (4x4 or smaller) and don't forget to have fun with it!!

There is also a fabulous tutorial for a mini for you to check out! I will be trying it myself soon, and don`t forget the prizes!

Pre Birthday Post Number 3

Every time I try to make them They never ever come out right! I blame my new oven as Hubby thought is was a good Idea to get a Gas one (LOL why blame myself haha)
So a few weeks ago I discovered that one of my friends and work colleague makes cupcakes because she likes to and they are BEAUTIFUL! So I asked her if she will be so kind to make us some for Mylee`s birthday. She said of course and I said I would pay for hem, but she said that she doesn`t want anything for it as she wanting to do it for us. That is why I made her beautiful little boy the door hanger and I will be giving her a thank you card when I am back at work on Thursday.

She had brought them into work today and the smell...OH MY I think I am going to struggle not to eat them lol so we took out a small selection of the pretty cupcakes and DH had a mini photo shoot with them, I wish you could smell them the smell as good as they look :)

Lets Celebrate! Outlawz challenge!

I have been crafting! yey!

Our little Princess Birthday week is starting tomorrow.
We are having a small party at a local farm as she asked us to ride a horse, we though we could treat her and her friends to a Pony ride at the farm as a birthday treat.

I still need to make her a card that she will get on he actual birthday date.
My plan a few weeks ago was to make each of her friends who are coming to the party a door hanger as a small pressie from the party. So I bought 10 door hanger die cuts from chipboard. recruited all my online friends in order to find me the Tilda stamps I wanted to use (Thank you Lisa Jane and AMAZING Laurie who does not know me but sent me 20(!) stamped images! Thank you so much Laurie! I will put a link to her blog in a sec.
However, Plans do not always happen, life does...

I had to go back to Israel last week for a really short time, which left me no time to make all of the door hangers :( I tried to make them today but I got so stressed I decided I would make one for Mylee as an early birthday treat and after the party I will make the rest and send them out as a thank you to all the kiddies :)

I have coloured all of the stamped images and prepared half of the die cuts, just have not put them all together just yet, apart for one :)

My princess loved it and as soon as she received it, ran upstairs and hanged it on her door (She is my biggest fan! lol) Before bed time she said to my: "Ima (Mummy in Hebrew), No on can come into my room now. I have that (Pointing at the door hanger) everyone will know it`s MY room!"

The person above is a bit of a basket case I am led to believe.
Both me and my DH support and love Israel as this is where I was raised and my wonderful family is still there. We keep meeting people who feel like we do along the way. Sometimes we disagree, and that is fine but we never turn it into a personal agenda. Debbie Schlussle, however does, and we are not the only ones she had targeted. I believe people like her are doing more damage then good to Jews and to Israel. The hilarious thing is that she actually called me and my DH neo nazies...

She has now on her FB fan page published a link to DH web site slagging it off and stating he is a neo nazi. I have taken screen shots of all of it and will be discussing this with my brother who is our solicitor in the morning and see where are we going from here.
I am shocked how much hate one person can have. I think it is juvenile really and shows how i mature she is. if you don`t agree with her then you are a Jew hater. I think she should seek some professional help...

Hello everyone!

I know I have been a really bad blogger! I`m sorry April is always a difficult one for me.. I`m trying to get back into my craft room as often as I use to...
We had half term with the Princess and she is still home until Wednesday lol which is brilliant because we got to spend some quality time as a family! We got back from Western Super Mare about an hour ago and she is sound asleep in her bed right not. My best friend had moved there two and a half years ago into a beautiful house and we had a fantastic time by the beach :)
I can see some Lo`s coming my way with some pics we took of her splashing in the mud! lol
OK so the theme this month for `By The Cute And Girly` is `ANYTHING GOES`

We were invited to another friend`s little boy and baby girl`s Christening, so I made his an hers cards. I am waiting to get some nice photos of the cuties and then I will be making a canvas LO.

That fake smile is a thing she does for the camera lol I usually like taking natural photos of her but with this one she was so keen to go to the party she just wanted it done and over with! lol x

Its a chip board frame covered with Graphic 45 paper and a bit of mosaic some underneath the transparency sheet and some above, I wanted to give it some unfinished touches covered and uncovered..hope I explained my self OK lol

She Was A Spring Flower

By The Cute And Girly Theme for March is.......

S P R I N G!
Yey! if not in weather then at least with crafts- right?
My first project is a LO I made using a picture that was taken in Feb 2004, of My Dad, myself and of my mum who passed away that same year in April, Her birthday is in March and I though
It would be really treasured way of having the pictures out on display :0)
It was very difficult for me to do the LO even though my sweet princess and I look at the old photos lots of times and it always makes me laugh that she finds it difficult to understand how come she isn`t in any of the photos!

She even got angry when she saw the finished LO and it didn`t have a picture of her in it, which made the emotional journey I went through while making it a much more pleasant memory for me.

Our challenge this week is SPRING its time to get the flowers out ladies :)

I used Mylee`s second birthday photos for this one with Prima flowers, Graphic 45 papers (aren't they just amazing?) a mount board, Tim`s distress ink, some white acrylic to frame the photos, a wee bit of lace and Prima packaging for the tags :)

The `OUTLAWZ` Scrapbook Challenge!

If The Boot Fits:)

I cut a cowboy boot out of mount board. It is the beginning of a mini Album but this kind of mini usually takes me about a week to finish (That's about two hours a day lol)

The picture I had in mind when I first started it was a different one, it was actually one of Mylee sitting on a hey stack in my Dads partners brothers farm in Israel, but for some reason all the photos from that visit wont open :(

Instead it is now going to be a mini Album with Mylee`s second birthday photos, we took her to a local farm and strawberry picking :)

Unfortunately the strawberry picking is lost as well, they were all on the same disc but the only ones we can open now are just the Farm photos which, I consider LUCKY! :)

So Fun and Games, as you saw on my last post we are having so much fun over at the `Outlawz` this week with `Western` as a theme to all of out challenges, our Scrapbook Saturday Challenge is the last one to close the week.

The Outlawz Girls Love is spreading out!

Hello everyone!

And this week, Valentine is going to be the main focus, so you will need to have a heart or the word `Love` somewhere on your project :)

This it My make for this coming week.

I was looking for pics of the just the two of us. It`s a problem when Hubby is normally the guy behind the camera! lol

Our wedding was a VERY small one, Alan, me and two of Alan`s friends as witnesses. We met on line and chated on the phone for a couple of months, then I came here to meet him and...we ended up getting married after five days lol

No one thoght it was going to last so they never bothered comming to the wedding (His family is a really long story..)

My family didn`t know untill after we got married, I knew that they would never allow it and I was right, when I called to say I was not comming back they came here with the next flight!

The rest is history and a darn good one hehe.

So this are the only wedding photos we have. they are all in colour but Alan converted them into sepia because I asked him too :). It is my Valentine gift to him with a small bought pressie!

`The Outlawz` Girlz with one more challenge!

It was a challenge lol {What is it with me lately? lol}

It is:

OK so the place I work for is investing allot of money in renovating our office environment...

And with this big change there are some other big changes, one of them is that we are not aloud to have anything on our desks apart from one framed photo.

So Mylee`s mothers day present for me which was a cuddly teddy bear had to be taken home last week. That`s OK , he will find it` way into my craft room now with a special place on my work desk :)

However, since my individuality had been taken away from me, I came up with an idea, why not make a desk top calender with a small photo for each month, I`m sure that would be OK don't you?

I had allot of fun making it! DH took some photos for me and I made them into a collage :

Red is All Around Us {By The Cute And Girly February Challenge}

Hello Everyone!

I know there is a post missing form Saturday, but I was a wee bit under the weather which actually required a trip to the hospital, so I have been getting a good rest over the weekend, bit did not have time for making a new scrapbook Lay out.

This month, it is my turn to host the new challenge over at `By The Cute And Girly`

And as you all know February is a very special month for love and for roses ;-)

So my theme for this month is `Red+ 1` I must say, that choosing the theme was easier then making the cards! lol The first card I had made for a friend of mine from work who celebrated her birthday over two weeks ago (and I`m so glad that I can finally show it! lol) It is one of my first attempts to colour with my pro markers, red is not an easy choice though...

The second card I made was a different matter, when the first one was just flowing and the idea came to me as I was colouring the image, this one I spent over an hour trying to make up my mind how to put it all together. I think I am happy with the result, you be the judge of that though haha lol

Can`t wait to see what you guys will come up with, you should go and check the challenge out as our DT girlz have been making this challenge into an amazing inspiration squad!

The Outlawz Girls DT Strike Again!

Hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend.

We just got back from swimming and I am so glad to see my little princess progressing from one week to another. They just learn how to float on their backs and she was so quick to take it all in and just, simply float!

So, we have another brilliant challenge over at the `Outlawz Saturday Scrapbooking Challenge`, It was my turn to choose the theme, and I choose `Butterflies and Swirls`

I made another Canvas for my DD.

This one is going to be hanged in her bedroom as I am redoing it now, we are waiting for her mattress to arrive and then she can start sleeping in her own bed {That`s the plan anyway lol}

I used a photo DH took last October. We had two of her friends over on a Friday and it turned into a photo-shoot, as they were dressing up with all of her dressing up costumes in the toy room.

I was going to use a different photo but when I opened the folder I saw that one and thought that this is perfect for what I had in mind :)

Our DT girls have come up with some really beautiful LO`s, so get scrapping peps! `The Outlawz Girls`

The Outlawz Girls Scrapbooking Saturday!

Our First Challenge is up! yey!

We are very happy to have a sketch for our first challenge! You can turn it and get inspired by it, I had a lot of fun creating this LO.

DH too some pictures of Miss Mylee back in October, and I just knew I had to scrap this one.

I sat at work and sketched the LO on my old Holiday form, so when I actually got the time to sit down and make it it all went really smoothly :)

I do Adore her, she is my world together with my DH

I Want A Hippopotomus For Christmas!

My DD have her favorite song for this Xmas.

One day we were looking for some songs online for her and we came across this one, Since then that's all she wants us to put on for her, on my phone first thing in the morning and then every time she wants to sing, that will be the first one on her list lol

So I knew I had this stamp from MOTIVET so I made her a card with my own little hippo, with my new pro markers which slowly but surely I am falling in love with lol

Hello everyone :)

I know, two posts in two days! yey lol

I think I already told you and showed you what a gifted photographer my husband is.
A few months ago, we decided for him to give up his day job and follow his dream.
He was trying to manage both while building the business but we know now that for `AMBIENCE` to work, he needs to invest all of his time into it.

So he is a family, weddings and special events photographer.
He has his own web site now which I had put a link to it on my side bar. and now there is another, a site where he is sharing his passion for photography, where anyone who values good art,can now purchase their own art prints.

The first collection, Realisation is a set of six images portraying different stages of the emotional maelstrom one experiences after the breakdown of a relationship. Alan chose to use strangers candidly in beautiful old buildings located throughout the UK with enchanting Ambiance.
Each of the six images envelopes the viewer into a sense of empathy and a yearning to discover more and find an ending to this story

This part of the site is up and running, just in time for XMAS :)

Jungle! Jungle!

Hello everyone,

I know I have been MIA for a while now, sorry about that, I will be back soon with some new projects to show :)
I have been helping out in our family business and working in my own day job and looking after our wee princess as well, which leaves me very little time or none at all for crafting :(

I`m sure you all know by now that `A Pocket Full Of Posies` had closed down, it was the new owner decision, and we were all very sad to hear the news BUT....
My favorite challenge blog (yes I am biased lol) `By The Cute And Girly` Has a new challenge for you crafters, so get all this dusty animals stamps, all the leopard print DP and all the black and white stripes and join us in this FAB challenge (not much time left so HURRY UP!!) It is Jungle theme this time and the DT have come up with some fantastic samples! so go check it out!

A Pocket Full Of Posies Challenge #9

I really do hope I got the correct number this time LOL!

You know when you see something, sometimes you have an idea what it would look like when you finished with it? This is what happened when I stumbled across this round 10" canvas.
I wanted it to be a part of my prev work the 12"X12" Autumn canvas I made last time, that's why I stayed loyal to the shades :) Both canvases are hanging together now, and my little princes said she loved the round one best! lol

This time the challenge theme is `Champagne and Roses` And the project will have to be about `Celebrate` I am still celebrating Autumn! lol

This was an inspiration from one of THE most amazing scrapbook artists I ever came across online. I have been amazed by her work since I was only just attempting to make cards! lol I`m sure you guessed by now, its Ingvild Bolme, one of Prima`s design team members, and she used to be a guest designer for swirlydoos and that's how I first discovered the amazing kits.

I used GCD papers again they are just so pretty! Prima flowers, flat backed buttons, chipboard, crackle paint, lace. another photo taken by my DH last Autumn and a journaling card with an acetate. all this beautiful, pretty things are coming with the fabulous Swirlydoo kits :)

A Pocket Full Of Posies Challenge #8

Hello everyone :)

The new challenge theme my favorite season of all-`Autumn Leaves`

You have to admit, the colours we get here in Autumn are so pretty, warm browns, reds and yellows. I love it!

I have a few photos of me and my princess taken by my DH last year in Autumn of course, so I printed them all and choose one that I turned into two by cropping me out of it lol

Sorry about the photo quality here I have no Idea why it has a blue cast on it, it`s not on the actual photo.

All the materials I used are from one of my Swirlydoo kits, they do vary but I`m sure the beautiful flowers are always `Prima`.

The letters are chipboard letters that I bought at `The Range` and so is the canvas, I used yellow ocher, and burnt sienna acrylic paint on the canvas, and then dabbed my gold acrylic dabber on the corners and the ripped spaces. also used crackle paint in on the top left corner (I so love the crackle!) gold embossing powder on the chipboard letters.

I Have Been Published!

My work that is! lol

My Safari park canvas and my `moods` LO! yey! I really had a fab day today, brilliant day at work, send all my documents to the home office so I will be sharing the same colour passport as my DH and my DD at last after 10 years lol and just received an email from SNR that my Lo`s would be published in 3 days! sorry but I had to remove them from all the galleries they were in and from the posts on my blog, I will re post them 30 days after the publication is out, but for now that is what is there instead :)

Lavender and lace PFOP Challeneg #7

Hello everyone :)
It`s time for the next challenge over at `A Pocket Full Of Posies` and we have some fantastic work from our brand new DT! go check out the DT`s blogs, I promise you wont regret it! lol
So this time our Challenge is sponsored by `Meljens` who was super kind and let the DT use some of her FAB digi images.

My project is one that I have been sitting on my tray for a long time, I thought it was going to be white, but my Muse has taken me somewhere else with it. Trust me when I say the photos do not do it justice :(

It is a wall hanging made out of chipboard, it is a Maya Road one (I love MY chipboard!) I painted the love hearts with Tim Holt's lavender crackle paint. The letters are painted with a darker lavender acrylic paint and after it dried I covered them with Timi`s rock candy crackle paint and when that dried I rubbed some lavender chalk ink so that the cracks will show. all flowers are from one of my Swirlydoo kits, some charms I got a while ago and I put it all together with Tim's wee rings (forgot what they are called! lol). I made the last lace flower myself and the brads I used, some are from my stash and some are from my another one of my Swirlydoo kits :)
all the Lace is from my stash and what would I have done without my glue gun! Love it! hee hee

Sorry about the photo quality, my photographer was rather busy this week so I had to use a different camera.

A Pocket Full Of Posies, Challenge #6 Floral Fantasy!

Hi Everyone!

First I would like to say goodbye to Katie, who is our `challenge blog` owner and leaving the blog and us, the DT, in the trusted hands of Jan and Sandie.

And welcome to Jan, who already is making the DT experience exciting and promising! Don`t forget if you would like to apply for the DT position to go to the prev post on our challenge blog and follow the instructions there!

So our challenge for the next couple of weeks is sponsored by `Craft Brulee`, who was super sweet and sent us some goodies for the challenges she is sponsoring. For this one I used one of her stunning yoyo flowers who made the purple glittered letters really stick out after I added it as my DH noticed them strait away! lol

`Floral Fantasy` is the theme of our new challenge :) and I can not wait to see what you all will come up with!

It is my second commission canvas to the same lady, this time it is for her cute little girl.
I sent hubby dearest to take some snaps of the kiddies :)

Again DP paper is GCD I am completely inlove with GCD papers, every time I go to my local craft shop, I come out with a pack! lol

`Wild Orchid` flowers combined with `Prima` that I got with one of my swirlydoos kit, SU! card stock, lace from my local fabric shop and a brown ribbon that I`m afraid don`t really know who is it by.

The journaling tag was made with one of my Unity stamps, I used to be a subscriber but ran out of storage! hee hee.

By The Cute And Girly September Challenge!

Hi everyone!
I`m sorry I`m so so late with my post!

This month we have nnalorac hosting the challenge and her theme for this month is `Indian Summer`

It was quite a challenge for me, but then I thought...In the UK Summer, Indian or not...is Summer! so my makes for this month reflecting the weather we've had for the past couple of weeks, it rained for two days solid, and that when I made the new commission canvas for a lovely lady who had found me on FB. I ended up falling in love with what I made lol

I used SU! DP papers, Ranger distress ink, Prima flowers and acetate from one of my wonderful Swirlydoos kits, lace from my local fabric shop, Wild Orchid Flowers, some chipboard letters I got from `The Range` and a round piece of chipboard that came with the `Dusty Attic` frame I had used on my 4" X4" chipboard LO in my prev post.

I will take some more photos, Don`t know why my camera was taking such grainy photos, need DH to have a look as the ISO is law and it should be grainy..

My Second make for this month is a card I had made for a very good friend of mine and it will be added to a basket of goodies to celebrate the Jewish New year which will be celebrated on this coming Monday :)
One of our sponsors this month is Whimsy Stamps who was so kind and gave us some images to use, I used little red riding hood, coloured it with my Tombows and again some SU! dp, one of Geraldine` amazing flower that she sent to me in one of the Tag swaps I entered, as part of the swap and an Wild Orchid flower again:)

A pocket Full Of Posies Challenge #5

Winged Things!
Hello everyone :)

Sorry for the delay in the post, every time I try to use the scheduled one it doesn't seem to work and then I have endless arguments with my lap top, but it wont publish it when it is told! lol

So love the theme for our new challenge, it is sponsored by Wimsey Stamps and the gals had done a fab job with the images, I love all the cards!

My project is a long and over due one...

It is a mini swap I took part of back in May...

Both Cathy and I had agreed to take our time on the project. I was so nervous making Cathy a mini, she is so amazingly talented, own her wonderful craft shop, runs a fab challenge blog with an even more fab DT team. really, I got cold feet when I found out who I am suppose to prepare the swap for, I started it endless of times and binned it over and over again.

I really hope she likes what I had made her.Yes I finally finished it and shipped it over to Cathy, she is on holiday so I`m not sure whether she has got it yet.

Warning it will be a photo heavy post! lol

I used mount board and cut it into the size I needed, the papers are a mixture of BG and Docrafts hemp paper, I have got the hemp paper from my prev swap partner who is another very talented friend of mine- Katie in our first mini swap. The flowers {green} are from Wild Orchid Crafts, the white one is a Prima one.

The flowers on the cover are Prima as well, I won them on Julies` show ages ago together with the pearls flower bling I used. The flower on the flower shaped page I had made myself. I learned how to make them ages ago on Marions` YouTube channel.

The white and pink flower I used on the mini envelope I got from Steph in one of her amazing give aways.

The bling on the flower page I made myself. The strawberry and the butterfly are cut with my Sizzix dies and embossed with heat and stick powder and glitter. Oh and the flower is also cut with my trusted Sizzix and painted with acrylic paints and crackle paint and some distrestickles in rock candy.

Most of the pages are painted with acrylic paints and the front has the crackle and distrestickles as well on the cover and the letters.

The acetates I used are from our local craft shop and they are part of the pages underneath them.

The green flowers are Wild Orchid that I glimmer misted.

Pocket Full Of Posies Challenge #4 Our Sparkly Love!

Hello everyone!

I have to say that if I wasn`t a DT member in PKFOP and BTC&G My posts would probably have longer between them, and I am only saying that because, I am really happy that I get to sit and craft so often lately!
So this week it is my turn to host the new challenge, and the theme is `All That Glitter`
Anything glitzy and shiny, remember you will need to dd flowers to your projects if you want to be eligible for the prize!

I had an idea in my head for some time, of what to do with the fab photos, DH took of my princess and I. So today, I had three hours to sit and make this LO. It is made out of 9 {!} 4X4 mount boards cut by me (it took ages! lol)
gcd DP Paris nights (told you I will get the name lol) I just LOVE those DP I think it is my third project with them.

My Swirlydoos kits have finlay been used by me (They are always too pretty for using! haha), prima flowers, butterflies, swirls, Acrylic paint, crackle Timi paint, Dusty attic frame, white embossing powder.
I love it! lol

I think I need to get one of those really cool hangers for it, does anyone know where I can find it? and also the big metal rings for the binding as I am not happy with the ribbons.

By The Cute And Girly At Woburn Safari Park!

Oh my, can`t believe we`re in August already! Gosh how the time fly`s My princes will be starting school nursery in September and that is what she tells everyone the cutie! "I`m Going school in`tember" lol

She is starting her first swimming lesson on Monday, and I can`t believe they wont let me go in the water with her, she is only three :(
OK, August Challenge is Animal Antics, set by our most talented Geraldine.

We went to Woburn Safari park a few weeks ago and had a fantastic time, we all enjoyed it so much we started making plans to go back there on the way home! lol

I have made my very first 12 x 12 LO on a canvas.

I used acrylic paint, Maya road chipboard mini flag banner, wild orchid flowers, chipboard letters I got from `The Range` which I visited again today as I run out of the letter `A` and could not spell : s A f A r i lol
A deck of DP papers that I love and can`t remember who is it by (Sorry :))
Two photos from our day at Woburn (I have lots more and will prob print some more later this week . as I am making three more canvases withthe picturs from the Safari Park.

My second project is a paper cone decorated with some lace, Prima flowers, Wild Orchid Flowers and that same deck of papers that I REALLY love and will be making my way to `The Range` soon to get another one! lol
I was not happy with the photo I had taken for both the Canvas and the cone so I got DH to take them for me :)

International Banner Swap Anyone? {sign up until the 12th Aug}

Hello everyone!

I was wondering if any of you guys would be interested in a banner swap?
Triangle banner that will spell the word C R E A T E
You can make them out of Canvas or chipboard or mount board, I will give the measures later on.
So that means I will divide us into groups of 6, each one of us will prepare a banner for each member of the group with the same letter for example
I will have to make 6 banners with the letter `C and the next one in my group will make four banners with the letter R` and so on.
let me know if you are interested by adding a comment to this post, you have until 12th august to sign up and Banners should be prepared an sent by Sept 12th.

The requirement for this swap is that you must have some sort of reliable website to participate: a blog, shop, FB etc

The swap is open to new and experienced crafters, just make sure you are making something at the same level you would like to receive yourself.

After I made Mylees` mini, I saw my friends little boys` photo and though to myself, that I need to make something for a boy. Girls are so much easier then boys aren`t they?lol

Anyway, I saw his photo, and he is such an adorable little guy, always smiling and so so friendly, once I had the photo everything just happened :-)

I gave it to her today at work and she loves it :-)

Safari visit

Last week , You remember, when SUMMER was here (It is gone now if you wondered LOL), we went to Woburn Abbey Safari Park.
I had MY camera with me, for the simple reason that when my DH take his it`s as if he is traveling alone! lol anyway, he was driving so I took charge of photos and toddler :)
Here are some photos that I took, we had a brilliant day, I recommend it to everyone during the summer holidays.

Just wanted to let ya know that my DH is insane and when I was taking a photo of the lions, through a CLOSED window, he open the window so that I can take the shot, I nearly peed in my pants! lol (excuse my french:))
I have got some ideas of what I will be making with some of the photos for our next challenge at By The Cute And Girly, but I wont tell you anymore about it just yet!
I will remind you that we have some Fab prizes there for this month for you to try and win!

BTC&G Summer Time!

This last few months were hectic here with work and trying to keep the house tidy for viewing and crafting, on Saturday, my DH took our princess out for a few hour before the match so that I can get crafty for a bit, as it was really upsetting me that I can`t find the time to do it :-)

This months for one of my projects, I used Mabel, from Crafts 4 Eternity's who is one of our sponsors for this months, so we got some digies to use. I normally don`t use them but after getting some advise from my fab fellows DT`s it worked like a charm and my Tombows did not smear the ink :-)
(I just love the easel cards!):

For my second project, I used a tiny mini canvas that I got on my last trip to the `Range` the minute I saw it, I knew what I was going to do with it!
I used this picture of my wee princess that was sitting on my dressing table mirror for ages, it was taken when she was only 3 months old, for her new passport, just before we went to visit my family in Israel for the very first time :-) I painted it with white and pink acrylic paint, added some lace, Prima Bling, vintage music sheet and this lovely flower I got winning a candy at stephs` blog.

BTC&G Something Old, Something New, Sometheing Borrowed, Something Blue

I had no Idea that that what May had installed for me so I did signed up to another mini swap, which is still not finished (SORRY CATHY x) and thank you for being such a brilliant patient partner :-)

It has been a really busy month her at our small family, I had been swamped with translation work (is a GOOD thing really), which left me with no time to craft at all :-(.

We also had our princess`s third birthday while trying to sort out DH parents house so that it can be put on the market before we can get ours sorted for the same reason as well+ my normal day job and looking after that same little princess..

Now to add on to all that, our childminder, has taken a week off....so I am home, I have turned in to an entertainment system that can; cook/play/dress/watch/listen/jump very high/take to the park/do the dishes/wash the laundry /dry the laundry/ fold and Iron/shower...and all in just one day! LOL

So all I had time for is one card for Mylee! she asked for a dinosaur cake, I couldn't find any, and she loves pink so here is a pink dragon card! she was really happy to get the card (and the trampoline!) so that was the something new, the stamp is a digi one that I got from our last month sponsor. the old one is my second card, don`t know why I haven`t uploaded it yet, but it went to Israel with my last months mini.

Wow three posts in one week?

I must be off work for a week! LOL I am I booked a week off so I have plenty of time to create, which is moi fun!
So after my mini swap partner Katie, saw my tags, she asked if she could have one, since I had so much fun making them, I have made another one today, for Katie!
It`s different...because, well the acrylic stamp lost its glueiness, so I took it to the sink to rinse it...well, you know what I am about to write next don`t you? It FELL down the drain :-( so I don`t have the word `DIVINE` anymore, or as my DH would put i`It can only happen to you!` LOL

I really love making them!

This time I made 5 of them 4 are out in the post and one that I kept for me.

Mine turned out different, because I made it after I finished all the others, I though we had to make 4 and send three, then I read my email again and saw that I didn`t have one for me! LOL so I made one for me and I used different colour's . Haven't taken a photo of it yet, but I will do tomorrow and add it to this post.

So here are my four tags:

I used, prima flowers, glimmer mists, cosmetic mists, heat and stick embossing powder, Tim Holts masks, and distress inks.

By The Cute And Girly May Makes

It is my turn to host and choose this month theme, and as it is my princess` birthday this month, I decided it will be `Celebrations`!
We are working hard to get the house and garden ready for summer (and we are planning on selling it as well LOL), so that we can have a nice BBQ on her B-Day:-)

Here is what I made , Katie if you don't want to spoil your surprise, you should stop reading...just about...NOW! lol

Here is the mini I made Katie, it is the first time that I made a proper mini with lots of techniques and it`s full LOL its a dress form mini, inspired by the one `Maya Road` has, only I drew and cut this one myself :-) You can click on it to get a better view, I didn`t want to flood the post with 12 photos of the pages LOL so I made a collage :-)

The second project is another Mini, this time making it way to Israel so Yael, you should stop reading this post now if you don`t want to spoil your surprise as well :-)

It is a mini in a box, and I made the DP paper myself (Mylee helped with the pink paint though) with watercolour papers, acrylic paint, my French script background stamp and an embossing powder . I used Julie Balzer Tutorial, which you can find on the `Prima` Website, I also won a `Prima` goodies bag on the show LOL It`s on every other Monday and Its great fun! I changed the mini, so mine looks a bit different, and I did`nt use the `Prima` papers, but I did use some Prima flowers, stamps and a butterfly. The other flower is hand made (Tim Holts one)

Goodbye Stamping Up...

I was thinking about it, when SU changed their policy, I thought it was a bit restricting and not fair. I did enjoy using SU products, but also enjoyed using other products like; Tim Holts and Ranger, Prima flowers, Maya Road, SWIRLYDOOS etc...I can write all this names on my blog now without worrying about getting told off LOL

When my dear MIL passed away, I had a few months where selling or buying was the last thing on my mind. SU! has a minimum you must spend every quarter, and the last one was in march.
When I saw that I wasn't able to make it, I contacted demonstrator support, and asked if it was possible to have an extension due to the circumstances.

It turns out that, this would be possible only if you were very ill, or if you had an accident.
I am happy to say that, I am well, and did not have an accident...
So it meant that if I didn't make the minimum, they will make the next one even harder to achieve because, they made it higher, impossible for me to make it at all; I was penalised because I couldn't make it in the first place.

Now saying all that, I have to say the my up liner was amazing! she phoned me as soon as she knew about it and was really nice and tried to help me. She even offered to pass me some sale if she had any. I think March is a difficult month for everyone because everyone was waiting for the mini to come out.

I hope all of the SU! demos in the UK are so lucky to have Jenny as their up liner. She is wonderful, and even though I wont be a demo anymore, I will probably be one of her best customers in the future.
So thank you Jenny, and thank you Kate which was my previous up liner who left when the policy changed.

Thank you SU! I did enjoy being a demo but I know that I wont be doing it again now, as I will have to buy the starter pack again, and as you know I already have it ;-)

BTCAG First DT Submission `Fairy Tales`

I love Fairy tales, Right now I am trying to get Mylee all of the old favorite ones both in English and Hebrew, so that she will know them in both languages.
Here is the first project, which I named `Cinderella Will Be Attending My April`s Make On Time` ;-)

It is a postcard I had made for an Art swap in Gingersnap Creations. The Theme was Party time And I thought the the Two Themes work well together:-)

And here is my second project,I went to see Alice In Wonderland in 3d with my DH on Saturday, LOVED every minute of it! Johnny Depp is just brilliant in everything he does, the hatter is definitely my favorite! LOL

International Tag Swap For February

I wrote this post ages ago, but my MIL fell ill and sadly had passed away. I will miss her very much and so will Mylee. It`s very different to go through the grieving proseshere then it is from when I had lost my mother. In Judaism we have the SHIVA which allows you to grieve and to be supported by your family and friend for seven days after the funeral, and it is always a burial.
Here we have the funeral which is mostly a cremation and then it`s a couple of days off and you are back to anything you were doing before the tragedy.

I feel for my DH, he had lost both of his parents withing 7 months. It feels strange now, we are completely on our own. we used to visit his dear mum almost every day.
Sorry for not updating the blog, I do have some more art work to upload, one is a mini that did not reach its destination yet and another tag swap.
I will be on track starting Monday guys.

No challenges were entered this time, I might change my mind and add them on later, but for the time being here are the tags I had made for the Feb tag swap on "My Huckleberry Fin" I really enjoyed making all this tags, and also really worried that I am out of my league with all my very talented swap partners.
So after stressing I was finally happy with the result, and sent it off, a little late. Sorry girls...x

A quick post for a card I made a while ago, but I`m not happy with the photos. I still have it here, I might take some more photos tomorrow and see how I like it then.

I used my trusted Sizix to cut the scalloped circles and the butterflies are SU! Bigz, That a dear friend sent me from the States.

No stamping this time:-)

Another Green One!

I think there is something about green that just appeals to me lately LOL
I stamped on the inside of the card this time and, coloured with my Tombows, a bit difficult to do on the Kraft paper, but I think it`s a pass LOL
I used acrylic paints, sixiz die and an embossing folder for the music notes.
I have more cards and tags to upload which I will later this weekend.

A new card, with a really sweet, sweet stamp which I really enjoyed colouring with my Tombows! distressed with ranger Ink, tag done with acrylic paints, chipboard cut to the butterfly shape and painted with Tim (we r not worthy) Holts crackled paint I got from my swirlydoos Feb Kit (LO coming soon now that I got some lace:-)
I think I like it, I changed the ribbon on the Tag after I took the pic, I do have another pic with the rafia in the tag but can`t find it at the moment...Sorry.

I will switch to Hebrew now, after a request that has been made :-)

הכנתי מרק אפונה שאני מאד אוהבת, אני לא אוכלת אפונה בכלל, רק במרק הזה וזה המרק הכי טעים בעולם, עם מתכון של אמא ז"ל.
אני זוכרת שהתקשרתי אליה כדי לקבל אותו. בכלל יש לי אוסף מתכונים מהטלפונים שהצטלצלתי אליה כל יום LOL

כן, הכנתי מרק אפונה והירוק ירוק הזה, עשה לי חשק לכרטיס אפוני ביותר.
אין לי כיתוב כי הוא נסע לארה"ב והוא חלק מהחלפה שאני משתתפת בה שבה המקבלת אוספת את כל הכרטיסים שנשלחו אליה ומוסרת אותם ליוצרת אחרת שהשתתפה בתחרות אחרת, אל תשאלו,סיפור ארוך!
בכל מקרה, איפה היינו? מרק אפונה.
המרק שכולנו מאוד אוהבים, אפילו מאילי זוללת אותו בכייף ומבקשת תוספת :-)

מאוד נהניתי לצבוע עם הטומבו שלי. את הדיסטרס עשיתי עם דיו של ריינג'ר
הפרפר חתוך בסיזיקס וצבוע בצבע קרקל של טים הולץ (ווי אר נוט וורת'י)
את הדמות גזרתי כדי לקבל מימד נוסף בכרטיס.

I used to paint a few years back but they have been stored in my closet for some time now.
That is until a few weeks ego LOL
Finished another project using the acrylics and some distress Ink.
Made another flower (Two actually LOL) and Really loved how it all came together.
Can`t say who is it for yet because the person did not receive it yet, but it is on its way there!
I could not resist putting it up. I'm sorry but I had to blur the greeting...

And just a small something that has been bothering me for some time now...
I love vintage, love seeing it, love buying it, Love everything about it, There is just one thing that I really get upset about when I see it around the blog sphere, and that is the usage of torn out books pages...

I don`t know about you guys, but I was brought up to respect books, for me books are knowledge, they are precious I could never bring myself to tear a page out of a book for a project, no matter how old the book is. I always say to mylee that we need to respect books, never throw them on the floor or tear the pages, that is part of the reason why I don`t like the kids pop up books, because kids are so curious, they WOULD try and pool the pop up LOL. Hands up- how many of you with kids have a complete pop up book? We have one and I only read to here at night time because it has lullaby's..,and even so, the oven door on the Pat-A-Cake is missing.

Anyway, that's all really, please don`t tear book pages for projects, there are so manny stamps about that you can use instead and distressing techniques...

A Parcel Surprise!

I love having a little late and lazy mornings on Saturdays, like all of us at the weekend. Wait! late me ref raise that LOL I meant, I would like to...but my young heiress to the crown of the clan, is an early riser, so this morning was not much different then any other one in the week, and it goes like that:

"Mummy wake up, its morning!"
"No it is not, Mummy is still tiered, so there for its still night time"
"Not night time, Its morning"
Daddy-----Is still sleeping unaware of discussions or bouncing on the bed LOL
Then, a knock on the door.
Now I know that a knock on the door this early can only mean one thing! I got a parcel, but I never ordered anything. so while I was still thinking about it, dad leaped out of bed got downstairs to open the door while Mylee shouted him from the top of the stairs: "is it mylees` present? from saba?"(saba means grandfather in Hebrew btw)
And dad said "no, its for mummy baby".
So we went downstairs and opened it... IT WAS FOR MYLEE! and what a huge surprise, it was a hand made poncho and a hot wheat bottle shaped as a bunny rabbit (named floppy by now LOL).
My dear sweet, and talented friend, Mimi, has sewed them for mylee, and mylee LOVES it!
I took some photos of her wearing it, but it was very difficult to get her to stand still for the photo. she had it on top of her jimjams. It took us a very long time to persuade her to get dressed LOL And the only time I could take Floppy` photo was about 4 hours ego, when I brought it down with me after she fell asleep :-)

Thank You Mimi, We love it, I am so touched and it was very emotional to read the beautiful card you made to go with the pressies.It is truly amazing, the friendship that can grow in the blogsphire}{ I met Mimi the last time Mylee and I came for a visit to Israel along with a few more lovely ladies, and had the most brilliant time crafting, chatting and eating with them:-)

I will add a photo of the card tomorrow because i was so excited I couldn't find my light box, and I could not take a photo outside because its all grey and wet out there... sorry!

poncho is modeled by Mylee and floppy is featured here with a handsome someone who I think really enjoyed the cuddle! LOL

Sorry about the quality, but Mylee was`nt in a say `cheese` mood this mornning and it was hard for me to focus:-(

Time Swap

I really enjoyed working on this project. I have returned to an old love of mine, The acrylic paints (Thank you my lovely crafty fairy }{ I used mainly autumn colours and SU! stamps. I added Butterflies because, all time I was working on it the saying `Time Flies` was running through my head! HA HA
Loved working with stencils as well!Oh and I made the flowers on the covers myself with Marions` tutorial and my #5 flower die, SIZIX:-)

Thank you for watching! I took LOADS of photos of each and every single page and tag...but! I decided not to bore you with a gazillion photos, so I narrowed it down a little and prepared a slide show. Hope you like it, Its one of those project you tend to want to keep yourself, which makes it even more fun to give to someone else :-)

We are having a wonderful time!

I made this card on Wednesday for a very good friend of ours. I love going to see them at this time of year, They have such great decorations! Mylee love it and so do we LOL :-)

The ribbon is from a...festive bottle of baileys, I knew I will be using it on my cards as soon as I spotted it when my DH brought it home! :-)

A Thank You and A Private Swap!

About two weeks ego, I visited one of my SBS#26 blogs, and saw a Hanukkah card she said she had made for a friend...

About a week later I got an envelope in the post, and guess what? That card was for us!

I was very moved and I would like to share it with everyone :-)

And again, two weeks ego in an israeli Forum I saw the beautiful creations by another online friend; an Israelie that lives in Canada with her DH. Because I found out that both of our Families are celebrating both holidays (Thats what happens in mixed marriges LOL), I asked her if she would like to have a festive swap between us.

We descided on a tree decoration + something else plus a card of course!

I got mine a few days ego and, trust me when I say this, the pictures are great! But its so much prettyer in reall life! here

Its Nearly Xmas!

And this year we are celebrating both Hanukkah and Xmas! We are at the third candle of Hanukkah today, and The princess received her third gift as well :-) I went upstairs to make sure I got it right and got her eight for Hanukkah and some more for Xmas. I can stop panicking now, we have enough! LOL

I normally buy Xmas cards, and only make them for really special people, I made this one for a special couple that have been really great friends to us for the last nine years.
I really enjoyed making it and will probably make another one for another friend of mine :-)

The first card is a Hanukkah card I made last week, I always struggle with them, In my mind the colour should always be in the Red/yellow/Orange range. I don`t tend to use this colours much on cards (if ever LOL). But I am pretty pleased with the outcome.

A Bashful Blue Story!

This is the first time I used nothing but SU!

I think this is my favorite stamp set, with its coordinating punch!

It was one of my friends B-Day last week, and I couldn't go to the party, as my face were a little bruised, but I did make her a lill something.

She has been asking me for ages to make her a set of 10 cards, and she said she would pay me for it as well. But I don`t like making them for sale, I like making them to give as pressies:-) So it`s not a set of 10, its a small folder that holds 3 cards and envelopes.

I found the tutorial for the folder and the pull out card in an old magazine I bought ages ego. and the tutorial is by the wonderful Jenny Moor, who is now my SU! up liner LOL so Thanks Jenny X

The pocket for the tag was made with this tutorial. I got the Idea when I was reading Stepanies` blog and asked her how its made so she emailed me the link to it for Marions` tutorial who said she got it from Twoworlds which is another amazingly Talented crafter!

Bluberries Muffins

I have been in a baking mood all week, feeling a bit down and thought that that will make me feel better! Guess what? It did! LOL

I found the recipe on this blog

I didn`t have normal flour so I used self raising instead and without the baking powder. They turned out YUMMY! :-) So I thought I should take some photos, cos when they`re gone they`re gone!

I wanted to thank everyone for your kind words on me last post, I am doing fine now, Still a little bruised but all the pain is gone :-)

My princes and I were making brownies on Wednesday, and I needed to let the oven warm up before I could put the mixture into the baking tray.
That is when I discovered that oven had stopped working. so I thought...`I`d leave the stool here because we will need it later`...wrong though that was...
I called my DH so that he can bring the table top oven from the in laws.
While he was trying to get that one to work, someone knocked on our door, as I was heading towards it, I stambled across the stool..

You know when you are falling and for a split second you think, I can walk this and not fall? well.. that's why I never put my arms and hands forward to stop it and hit the wall with my face with all my body weight :-( I was screaming in pain and bleeding as well. Then I realised that Mylee was there so I stopped. she was so lovely; she kept asking me if I was OK and offered me her watter cup.

The nurse thinks that I broke my nose and I have a specialist appointment on Monday morning.
